Short-term boot camps change behavior. The structure and goal of these programs is changing the teen's environment. With a new environment change teens get away from attitudes, habits, behaviors and old friends. With the new environment they are able to start developing new attitudes, behaviors and choices. Teens learn that smart choices lead to good rewards. So these types of programs have a positive reinforcement for teens to see trends that help them ultimately succeed. Short boot camps will work if you are in the early intervention stages.
